This Privacy Policy explains how DecideWeather, LLC ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Service. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to operate the Service:
- Account information: the email address and password you provide at signup. After signing up, you may optionally add a display name to your account; providing a name is not required to create or use the Service.
- Job-site information: the locations (addresses and/or coordinates) you add so we can generate weather verdicts for them.
- Payment information: when you subscribe, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe, Inc.) on the web, or by the Apple App Store or Google Play for mobile purchases. We do not store full payment-card numbers; we may retain limited billing metadata (such as subscription status and the processor's customer identifier).
- Technical and usage data: standard information such as device, app version, log, and diagnostic data generated when you use the Service, and — if you enable them — push-notification identifiers used to deliver alerts.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to: provide and operate the Service and generate verdicts for your job sites; send you alerts and service-related communications; process subscriptions and billing; maintain security and prevent abuse; and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it except with the service providers described below or as required by law.
3. Service Providers We Share With
We rely on trusted third parties to run the Service, and they may process limited information on our behalf:
- Hosting and application infrastructure: Cloudflare, Inc.
- Database and authentication: Supabase, Inc.
- Payment processing: Stripe, Inc. (web), and the Apple App Store / Google Play for mobile purchases, each of which handles your payment details directly under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Weather, air-quality, and geocoding data providers, which receive job-site coordinates in order to return forecasts and resolve locations (see the Data Sources and Attributions section of our Terms of Service).
These providers are permitted to use the information only to provide their services to us.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You may delete your account from within the Service, which removes your associated personal information except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, or billing purposes. You may also contact us at support@decideweather.com to request access to or deletion of your information.
5. Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, consistent with applicable law including the New York SHIELD Act. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your private information occurs, we will notify you and any authorities as required by applicable law and without unreasonable delay.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. We honor these rights as required by applicable state privacy laws. To exercise a right, contact us at support@decideweather.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is a business tool intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States and intended for U.S. business users only. We do not target users in the European Union or other jurisdictions with separate data-localization requirements. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative.
